The Mandalorian star Gina Carano has become the subject of controversy on social media after she mocked social justice bullies who were demanding she pledge allegiance to the woke mob and support the leftist-oriented Black Lives Matter movement.

Best known for her accomplishments in MMA, the fighter-turned-actor rejected the mob’s demands and hit back at them with incisive responses that are being cast as support for the “alt-right” by the leftist publication Daily Dot, which also accused her of transphobia.

The publication noted that Carano changed her Twitter name to “Gina Carano beep/bop/beep” in response to co-star Pedro Pascal’s he/him pronouns, which he added to his Twitter bio. Pronouns, which have been adopted by many Democratic politicians and celebrities, are largely understood to be virtue signals among the woke left.

Angry culture warriors then complained to Carano, some going so far as to accuse her of being insensitive to the transgender community. Carano replied that she opposes bullying in any form and added that despite explanations from her co-star about the use of pronouns in Twitter bios, she had no desire to go along with it.

“Yes, Pedro & I spoke & he helped me understand why people were putting them in their bios. I didn’t know before but I do now. I won’t be putting them in my bio but good for all you who choose to. I stand against bullying, especially the most vulnerable & freedom to choose,” she wrote.

When one member of the woke brigade asked her to “just say you’re transphobic and move on,” she responded: “You’re transphobic and move on.”

“To those who only know Carano as the actor behind a cool Star Wars character, it’s a surprise to see her promoting right-wing talking points like telling people to “open up your businesses & churches” during the pandemic,” writes Daily Dot, which complained that Carano’s support for right-wing views included retweeting content and interacting with right-wing figures like Ian Miles Cheong and Jack Posobiec—both of whom are mainstream figures in the conservative space.

Carano explained that her use of “beep/bop/beep” has nothing to do with mocking transgender people and everything to do with exposing the bullying mentality of the mob that now speaks over the voices of everyone else on social media.

“I want people to know you can take hate with a smile. So BOOP you for misunderstanding,” she wrote.
